Bio
Talented Australian First Nations singer and songwriter, Katie Aspel, is a Ngarrindjeri/Gunditjmara woman inspired by Chloe x Halle, Marlon Williams and Alessia Cara. Katie’s songs revolve around her vocals, she experiments with different sounds by working with a variety of producers.
Currently based in SA Adelaide/Tarndanya (Kaurna Country), she has performed all over South Australia notably at the Fringe festival (winner of the emerging artist award) SA Music Awards and regionally. Katie combines lush pop vocals and soulful acoustic guitar, and she loves performing live and sharing her stories, hoping others connect with her through music.
Her songs artfully convey themes of love and heartbreak that tie to her deep love for culture and community.
